"Case of the Week" is a good way to show veterinarians and laboratory professionals interesting cases we see every week at Strömsholm's laboratory. Harold Tvedten, DVM PhD, Diplomat ACVP, ECVCP, President ASVCP, Professor emeritus, Michigan State University writes up a case as an unknown with Power Point software.

When one subscribes to case of the week, they receive a password and then can download the power point presentations from our web site. Each week one downloads a case with the information we had before we made a diagnosis. Then a second Power Point presentation with the diagnosis and comments may be downloaded a week later. One can then see if one made the same conclusions as we did. Subscribers are encouraged to discuss the cases with others in their practice. The programs have many pictures so one needs more than a routine telephone modem to download the program within a reasonable amount of time. The topics covered in the cases vary with hematology, cytology, clinical chemistry, urinanalysis, microbiology and parasitology being important in different cases. Cases vary from common situtations to cases we have never seen before .
